My hope is that you are able to gather items from around your home or purchase them secondhand from the thrift stores in order to bring your character to life.

This list contains store-bought, bulk store and online store candy suggestions for Canadians. I live in Prince Edward Island and these are the candies that are zero-waste. The packaging of the ones listed are either made of cardboard that can be easily composted or aluminum that can be recycled.
