Homemade Food Veggie Scrap Broth

Freeze your scraps!

This Broth recipe will save you from ever buying vegetable stock again. The best part is you can use whatever you have!!!

You need

Frozen food scraps

Strainer

Cheesecloth

Large glass jar or bottle

Preparation

When ready, remove frozen scraps and place them in your soup pot. Add available spices to the pot and enough water to cover the veggies. Cover pot and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for 1 hour uncovered.

Remove from heat and cool. Use a strainer to remove soil vegetables. Strain a second time through cheesecloth and transfer to glass containers. Refrigerate fresh broth for up to 5 days or freeze up to 3 months.
