The Best Spots to Thrift in PEI

In this article, I am sharing the best physical stores to shop second-hand around Prince Edward Island. I listed the stores in order of the value I found it offers based on my own experiences.

I love thrifting. I keep a list on my phone with the things I need and once every two or three months I go to my favourites thrift stores in PEI. I’ve actually written a few other blog posts on secondhand shopping and my experiences if you are interested in reading more. If you want to learn more about my 10 step process on how I thrift, check out this post here, and if you want to get a list of 20 household items you should definitely be able to find second-hand, check it out here.

Without further ado,

Here is my list of the 17 best spots to thrift in PEI:

  1. Mission Thrift Store

    68 Allen St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 5A9

This thrift store is absolutely my favorite. The prices are really good, it supports a good cause and I always find what I am looking for.

Here are a few things I had success finding at this store in the past: beautiful dresses, office outfits, office pants, flower pots, deep dishes, cups, storage containers, and blankets.

  2. Repeats Quality Used Family Clothing and Costumes

    95 Capital Dr, Charlottetown, PE C1E 1E8

Looking for a Halloween costume or props? This is the best thrift store in PEI to find Haloween costumes.

  3. Habitat for Humanity Restore

167 Minna Jane dr, Charlottetown, PE C1E 2A1

  4. Salvation Army Thrift Store

79 All Weather Hwy, Summerside, PE C1N 5L3

  5. R & S Frenchy's

259 Heather Moyse Dr, Summerside, PE C1N 5P1

  6. Nearly New

    586 Rue Main, Montague, PE C0A 1R0

  7. Green Isle

    27014 PE-2, Summerside, PE C1N 4J8

  8. Little Black Dress Boutique

    227 Water St, Summerside, PE C1N 1B4

If you are looking for brand clothing, this boutique is for you!

  9. Luxury Market Consignment

    94 Queen St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4B1

I always have fun going into this store, but the clothes are a bit pricy.

  10. Nearly New Shop

    586 Rue Main, Montague, PE C0A 1R0

  11. Sally Ann Thrift Store

    158 Fitzroy St, Charlottetown, PE C1A 1S1

  12. Rose Cottage Antiques

    401 Water St, Summerside, PE C1N 1C8

  13. Church Mouse

    391 Nelson St, Crapaud, PE C0A 1J0

  14. My Sister's Closet.

    Downeast Mall, PE-4, Montague, PE C0A 1R0

  15. Read's Corner Antiques

359 Taylor Rd Summerside, PE, Canada C1N 4J9

  16. Coulson’s

    49 Broadway St N, Kensington, PE C0B 1M0

  17. Tuck and Roll

10 Prince St., Charlottetown, PE, Canada, Prince Edward Island

  18. Value Village

    339 University Ave Unit 5, Charlottetown, PE C1A 4M8

I used to LOVE Value Village but since they were bought by Walmart the prices went up and the quality of clothing went down. Although extensive and not my first choice when thrifting, I still visit it from time to time when I am looking for curtains, decor and fabrics.
